Dazu habe ich mich in erster Linie auf den Primärtext bezogen, übersetzt von Josef F. Groner. Sekundär waren die Interpretationen von Wolfgang Kluxen und Stefan Lippert sehr aufschlussreich. Anthony Kenny und Michael Wittmann lieferten ergänzende Kenntnisse zur thomistischen Ethik und zur Rezeption antiker Quellen.
    Das göttliche Gesetz wird in der vorliegenden Arbeit nur am Rande behandelt, da es als theologischer Sonderfall bezeichnet werden kann. In dieser Arbeit ist das ewige Gesetz als metaphysischer Überbau von Bedeutung und die Ableitung des menschlichen Gesetzes aus dem natürlichen Gesetz. Die Arbeit schließt mit einem Resümee in dem dargelegt werden soll, inwieweit dieses theologische Konstrukt vom Gesetz philosophisch suitable sein kann.
